The Schmid wood chip and pellet heating system UTSD

Schmid energy solutions is known in particular for its high-quality wood furnaces. Developing first-class products and meeting customer needs is part of her passion. The systems impress with their durability and reliability. Based on the latest regulations, Schmid AG has developed the UTSD wood chip and pellet heating system.

The UTSD product range developed by Schmid is impressive in terms of comfort and technology. Years of experience in control and boiler development have been optimally incorporated. In this way, the best values in terms of user-friendliness and combustion technology could be achieved. The boilers (25-260 kW) are tested according to the latest EN303-5:2012 regulations and have achieved the highest boiler class 5. The UTSD enables future-oriented and sustainable heating with wood.

flexibility and comfort

The modular discharge elements enable a flexible construction of the fuel transport from the fuel store to the boiler. From the discharge screw, the material enters the combustion chamber via the safe burn-back flap. Thanks to the ingenious system of the combustion chamber geometry, made of high-quality refractory concrete, moist fuels up to M40 can also be burned. This heavy construction promises a long service life and additional safety thanks to the combustion chamber temperature sensor, vacuum control and lambda probe. Cleaning and ash removal are fully automatic. The 2 x 50 liter or 240 liter containers on wheels ensure convenient ash disposal.

Separation system for wood heating

The emission limits for heaters are clearly regulated in the Clean Air Ordinance LRV. The CO 2 -neutral fuel wood offers an excellent basis for environmentally friendly heating. Optimum combustion using the UTSD wood chip and pellet firing system from Schmid AG already achieves the best emission values. In order to further reduce fine dust, the exhaust gases are also cleaned using a separation system. So far, these particle separators or filter systems have been installed separately from the boiler. Schmid AG, together with a leading manufacturer, has now developed an electrostatic particle separator that can be installed directly in the boiler: the e-clean.

Particle separator e-clean

The e-clean is integrated directly above the boiler heat exchanger. In this way, the exhaust gases are cleaned in the hot area. Compared to the commonly installed separators, this has the advantage that condensate formation can be ruled out and thus no high-voltage losses or corrosion damage occur. By positioning it in the hot area, a filter availability of > 90% can be permanently guaranteed. The e-clean separator can be ordered immediately when the order is placed, but can also be retrofitted at a later date.
