With conventional controls, the room temperature can hardly be kept stable: Sometimes it is below, sometimes above the target temperature. This lack of precision leads to a high energy requirement and moderate comfort. The temperature can be regulated more precisely and efficiently with Therm-Control. The heating control from Nussbaum drives each heating circuit step by step and precisely to the desired temperature. Up to 12 heating circuits can be connected, and the system also carries out a fully automatic thermal calibration. A self-learning algorithm controls the heating circuits and also takes environmental influences such as solar radiation or open windows into account. Thanks to this smart control, the room temperature remains much more constant than with a conventional thermostat.
Significantly more economical
The energy savings through Therm-Control are remarkable.
With a current performance analysis, the HSLU certifies that the system has an energy saving potential of up to 20 percent. The greatest savings can be achieved during the transition period. Because the smart algorithm of Therm-Control can show its advantages especially in unstable weather conditions. "In this way we achieve consistently high energy efficiency and comfort," says Sebastian del Valle, product manager for heating at Nussbaum. The system also enables comfort and low energy consumption in a holiday apartment in Vella GR. Client Roger Neukom switched from an older, SMS-based heating remote control to Therm-Control. «With the old solution, I could only heat all the rooms to a preset temperature at the same time. With the individual room control, the control is much finer and access via smartphone is very convenient,” says Neukom. The installation of Therm-Control in the existing heating distributor box took only a short time, since then the control has been running without any problems.

Therm-Control is very interesting for entrepreneurs because the optimization of the heating takes place to a certain extent on the floor. "In this way, quick and noticeable savings can be achieved without replacing the heat generator or upgrading the building envelope," says Sebastian del Valle. In addition to the installation in the new building, the existing building is also particularly interesting. Because around two-thirds of the Swiss building stock is still heated with oil or gas - optimizing the heating has a direct effect on CO 2 emissions.
