Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Work performance

Revision: The following work is included in the service subscription:
A total revision during the subscription year, which includes the following:

  • • Thorough cleaning and checking of burner parts such as housing, filter, baffle plate, burner head, nozzle, ignition device, etc.
  • Functional check of the automatic burner control
  • Optimization of the blower burner setting with regard to firing efficiency, soot, CO and NOx content.
  • Measurements of the above exhaust gas values ​​using EAM-tested measuring devices and assessment of whether the limit values ​​stipulated in the • Clean Air Ordinance are complied with.
  • If, contrary to expectations, the official control was negative within three months of the audit being carried out:
  • Readjustment of the burner and assumption of the fees for an official follow-up inspection.
  • Labor performance for replacing defective components.
  • Revision of other parts of the system in accordance with the contract supplements.

2. Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting problems with an on-call service around the clock, in urgent cases also on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and at night. (Overtime surcharges after 6 p.m. 25%, at night from 11 p.m. and on Saturdays 50%, on Sundays 100% are invoiced separately.) Only for combustion systems where the NO2 limit values ​​on the system must be checked regularly in accordance with the Air Pollution Control Ordinance:

  • Measurement of the exhaust gas values ​​using electronic measuring devices tested by the EAM
  • Measurement, optimization and assessment of the burner setting according to point 1, but also with regard to NOx (nitrogen oxides)

3. Connections

The following services are not included in the service subscription:
Elimination of faults whose cause is not due to the contractual status, e.g.

  • Power failure (switches turned off, faulty wires, fuses, thermostats, etc.)
  • Not enough heating oil available.
  • Heavily soiled heating oil, water in the tank, different fuel properties, etc.
  • Improper operation, negligent and malicious damage as well as force majeure such as fire, water damage, etc. Maintenance and rectification of faults in oil supplies such as lines, tank systems, tank fittings, fireclay, etc. with the exception of those listed in the contract supplements.
  • Maintenance and elimination of faults in heat generators and their regulations and controls, circulation pumps, level control, etc.
  • Disruptions due to frost damage. (Paraffin excretions in the oil)
  • Conversion of outdated burners and boilers that are no longer state-of-the-art, for example to be able to comply with new regulations that were not yet in force at the time of commissioning.
  • Readjustment of burners that are installed on outdated or non-EMPA-tested heat generators, for example to be able to comply with the limit values ​​​​of the Clean Air Ordinance.
  • Work on heat utilization systems and their ventilation.

4. Replacement Parts

All spare parts are not included. These will be billed separately.

5. Access to the heat generator

The customer undertakes to make the system available to the service engineer at the time (normal working hours) announced by us so that his work can be carried out unhindered. If the maintenance is carried out outside normal working hours at the customer's request, the corresponding overtime surcharges (after 6:00 p.m. 25%, at night after 11:00 p.m. and on Saturdays 50%, on Sundays 100%) will be invoiced separately.

6. Warranty and Liability

Perren Haustechnik AG provides a one-year guarantee from the date of work for:

  • Professional execution of the assumed service work
  • Replaced spare parts.
  • The warranty is limited to repairing, free of charge, defective work and replacement or repair, free of charge, of parts which have become defective within the one-year warranty period.
  • There is no guarantee for hidden defects caused by operation or improper handling that were not discovered when the service work was carried out properly, or for the tightness of the lines, screw connections, etc.
  • However, claims for compensation for consequential damage such as loss of production and profits, boiler defects, chimney fouling, boiler fouling, etc. are excluded.
  • Warranty and liability expire if changes or interventions of any kind have been made to the contract object without our consent, as well as if the performance of repair or revision work that we consider necessary is refused or omitted.
  • There is no guarantee or liability for damage caused by insufficient maintenance or incorrect treatment or operation of the system, as well as for damage to components as a result of natural wear and tear.

7. Contract Duration and Tariff

This contract is automatically renewed for a further year unless it is canceled in writing and by registered mail two months before expiry or after a tariff change. Prices, mandatory additional services, more expensive or more maintenance-intensive work aids, other cost changes, etc.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
